the fat kid gets a W

Today was the highly anticipated Colorado State Criterium Championship, and I won the P-1-2 race! It was quite unexpected: my team was planning a win for Terry, I was seriously suffering in my permanent fat suit in the 90-degree heat, I went off the front for a long suicide attack early in the race, and the rest of the race I was dangling off the back. With a few laps to go I moved up to help Terry launch, but she was marked and gave me the nod to go for it. I attacked with 2 to go and barely held it to the line. I actually thought I lost the sprint to the crazy powerful GS Boulder girls behind me and was kinda pissed. It turned out that I had won by 4 inches! Not bad for riding my road bike only once or twice a week. For the win I got a 6-pack of one of my favorite local beers (Lefthand's Polestar Pilsner) and some beef jerkey...you can guess which one I shared with my team! Not to mention the cashola or the sweet state champion vest that I can't wait to rock in Wash Park. I'll post pics soon!
