(cup)cakes

I just saw that Tee & Cakes posted some photos on Facebook of the cake and cupcakes they created for our wedding. Kim made us a vegan vanilla cake with strawberry frosting as well as a smorgasbord of cupcakes: Mexican chocolate, coconut with key lime curd, churro, salted caramel chocolate, vegan vanilla, and gluten free vanilla (it IS Boulder, after all).  Working with Tee & Cakes was one of the best parts of the wedding! They are so nice and fun and creative...plus we got to taste lots of cupcakes!

Tasting to figure out our dessert menu

I created the little Churrolope flags with a custom rubber stamp I designed. I kind of regret asking Kim to put the little jackalope statues on the cake (there's a lot going on), but it didn't matter because it tasted so good. (We had half a dozen pieces left and froze them all!) Spencer and I went up to cut it and then realized we didn't have a knife or server near us—oops! Comida came to the rescue with a knife, and Jordan stepped in to help us cut the rest of the pieces. It was all a bit awkward, but if you know us, you wouldn't expect anything different.
