A bicycle built for two

It's hard to believe Spencer and I tied the knot nearly a year ago. We weren't planning on doing anything fancy to celebrate our anniversary, since we'll be busy racing a big cyclocross race this weekend. But when a friend of mine listed her vintage 1974 Schwinn Twinn Deluxe tandem for sale, I couldn't resist. I snapped it up and surprised Spencer with it yesterday. Now we'll be able to cruise downtown for drinks on a bicycle built for two!

I love the look of the speedometer. I also decided to deck it out with some homemade handlebar streamers, after a trip to Joann Fabrics failed to yield the crepe paper decorations I was looking for.
