Because I've often been packing clothes for three or more days during this Denver->Boulder transition, I keep having these wardrobe crises. An event will come up--whether a press conference for work or a group hike with coworkers--and I won't have packed the appropriate attire. The problem isn't so much my unpreparedness as it is the ease with which it is remedied; with a plethora of clothing and shoe stores surrounding my office, it's simple to just run out and buy the right outfit. Needless to say, not good for my budget. Thank you Patagonia.

The Iron Horse Classic in Durango last weekend was wonderful, even though a) I got really sick Friday morning and had to go to the Boulder Hospital (food poisoning?) and b) the road race was canceled because of snow. But, those two bad events worked well together: I was too sick Saturday to do the road race, so when it was called off I wasn't penalized for the rest of the omnium. The rest of the races were fantastic...some of the best courses I've ever ridden. The downtown crit was technical with tons of spectators, and the time trial course was incredibly scenic and fast. I am definitely putting this race on the schedule for next year!

Oh, and I can't forget to mention that I dropped Mara Abbot climbing up a hill. It doesn't matter that I was in my XC70 and she in her Honda...I still dropped her!!

Here are some pictures:
