I love 13th Street. I live on it, I work on it, the Boulder Farmer's Market is on it, as well as numerous independent local restaurants, cafes, bakeries, a brewery, a wine store, a bike shop, a grocery store, and lots more. All within one mile. On its downtown section there is a really cool separated contra-flow bike lane that is pretty much the neatest thing ever, except for the concentration of oblivious iPhone-chatting Lauren Conrad wannabes who assume it is a second sidewalk and cross right in front of me without glancing up from their mobile device. It makes up half of my commute (the other half is on a regular old bike lane, with traffic calming structures). Take a look at this short video from Streetfilms that highlights the 13th Street bike line.
