window garden

I ordered a table for our wedding that ended up being about 3 feet taller and 5 feet longer than I had pictured it. Unfortunately it would have cost me more to ship it back to the company than a refund was worth, so we were stuck with it. We ended up putting it by the only source of southern light in our condo. While it is unwieldy in this main living space, it does allow our plant to get some light. (It is also too high for Churro to dig in them.) My dad built a giant plant tray for us last year, and it fits perfectly on top of the table. Just about all of the plants up there are succulents (there's a lone pot of rosemary and chives). Even though the light isn't very direct or strong, they seem to be thriving. The table just might have to stay there.
